Metal Alkyls Europe Plant (MAE)

The Metal Alkyls Europe Plant produces metal alkyls. These compounds are mainly used by the plastics industry as co-catalysts for the production of polyethylene, polypropylene, and synthetic rubber. Metal alkyls are loaded into special cylinders and transported by train, tanker truck, or ship to customers all over the world.

Process:
The processes in the Metal Alkyls Europe Plant include a continuous process for tri-ethyl aluminum (TEAL) and batch processes for ethyl aluminum sesquichloride (EASC) and di-ethyl aluminum chloride (DEAC). In addition, solutions are made of these and other metal alkyls in various solvents.
