Maintenance Engineer
Mark Jochems: "More depth"
Maintenance Engineer is a position that offers good prospects," says Mark Jochems. "An increasing number of companies are adopting a new approach to maintenance, using new methodologies. And for these tasks they need Maintenance Engineers."

Mark works as a Maintenance Engineer at Inspection & Maintenance Engineering. "Using a combination of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methods, we can offer optimal strategic maintenance concepts to our customers on the site."

Mark completed his General Operational Technology study at the Polytechnic College in Utrecht. In addition, he has been trained as an RCM II facilitator. "This means that I am fully qualified to set up, supervise and manage maintenance strategies. This certainly gives more depth to my work. At the same time the scope of my work is very broad. I come in touch with all kinds of people, from engineers to managers. During the process we do not just focus on one field of specialization, but we try to find a solution with a team on which various disciplines are represented. By bringing these people together we achieve a better mutual understanding and a better transfer of knowledge. Another nice aspect of the work is that you can see fairly rapidly whether the concepts used are really going to have the right effect in practice. In short, a challenging and dynamic job."
